Maintenance Engineer/registered Electrician

We are looking for a new team member who wants to extend their skills across the services we provide our customers. This is a project based position where you will be out and about. The duties/skills of a millwright would fit this role. Ideally, you will have 3-4 years’ experience in the industry. We will facilitate ongoing additional training as required. Within the team, we have long term staff who have a wealth of knowledge. They are team players who willingly build resilience in the company by sharing their knowledge We offer a 24 hour emergency breakdown service to our customers, and you will be expected to fulfill this service on a rostered basis.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • experience in motor controls, soft starters, VSD drives and industrial automation control systems (this would be an advantage)
  • Electrical service (including fault finding skills) and installation experience
  • System commissioning
  • Available for rostered call outs including after hours and weekends
  • attention to detail in your work
  • the ability to efficiently deliver customer focused outcomes.
  • the flexibility to respond to unexpected workload changes at short notice

  • NZ Drivers Licence (Clean)

  • confined space certification
  • some mechanical experience would be an advantage

Since you will be on our customers property, representing our business, you will have the highest level of integrity & agree to a pre employment police background check, if requested. Pre-employment drug and alcohol tests by a company approved testing facility may be part of the application process for this position.

Water Industry Field Installation & Service Person

  • General service work including fault finding
  • Completing repairs and maintenance works on pumps and water systems
  • Understanding pumps and pump controls
  • Waste water system repairs, maintenance and installations
  • System commissioning
  • Available for rostered call outs including after hours and weekends
  • Workshop welding
