What maintenance do submersible pumps require?

It is recommended that you regularly monitor the performance of your submersible pump and motor. Basic checks include:

  • Is it raised a little off the bottom of the sump, pit or pond
  • Is the water inlet at the bottom of the pump free of debris or sludge
  • Check for build up in the pit such as fat and debris which could restrict the float control of the pump if your model has one.

If the pressure has reduced, this may indicate wear on the submersible pump.

Our experienced team can help you regularly service your pump.
